ROME RULED THE WESTERN WORLD FOR CENTURIES"

1.  Read in the textbook,  pages 143-148.  As you read, jot down in your World History Journal, the following terms and define:
republic, indemnity, consul, veto, patrician, plebeian, checks and balances, praetor, censor, tribune, dictator, legion, paterfamilias, Romulus, Pontifex Maximus.

2.  Identify the following places on your map:  Tiber River, Rome, Rubicon RiverClick here.  You will use this map several times during this chapter.  Review it for the exam at the end of this chapter.  It would be good if you could print it.  If not, contact me in the chat room and ask for one.
