COLLEGE PREP COURSE SELECTION
These are suggested course selections. A good rule of thumb for selection is that most
colleges require
4 years of English; at least 3 years of Math (Algebra I & II, Geometry); at
least 3 years of Science (Physical, Biology, Chemistry); at least 3 years of
Social Studies (World History, U. S. History, American Government); 2 years of
Foreign Language; 1 year of Word Processing. However, studies have shown that
higher SAT scores may be attained by taking challenging courses. That is the
philosophy behind the required courses for students enrolled at FCA.
